ScoutManage's feature-rich interface includes:

  • Track Packs or Troops... customizes itself to work efficiently with either Cub Scout Packs or Boy Scout Troops.
  • Import your Pack or Troop data from TroopMaster, PackMaster, ScoutTrack, more!
  • Individualized Home Page... each family has a home page that summarizes information for all Scouts and Leaders in the family. This includes calendar of upcoming events, permission slips needed, dues and fees owed, important and customizable information, favorite reports, and other common summary components.
  • Individualized Member-Specific Home Page... each scout and leader has a home page with all the information about awards, advancement, and training they've completed or have in progress.
  • Track Advancement... over 300 awards, advancements, achievements, and training representing thousands of individual requirements. Merit Badges, Belt Loops, Pins, Rank Advancement, more! Custom awards and achievements can also be created.
  • Purchase/Present...track what awards have been earned and must be purchased from the Scout Shop. Automatically fill out BSA 34403B advancement forms. Track awards to present at next awards ceremony.
  • E-Mail Notifications for achievement completion... Parents, group and unit leaders, and awards coordinators can optionally receive e-mail notifications when members complete any achievement.
  • Achievement Multi-Edit... Allows entering multiple requirement completions for multiple members in a single task.
  • Missing Achievement Reports... Track what scouts have or have not completed specific achievements. Track what scouts still have not yet made rank (for Cub Scouts) and report on what scouts are working on which rank.
  • BSA Complex Cub Scout Bear Requirements... Bear requirements and electives are handled in a very complex way by BSA, making tracking by hand very difficult. ScoutManage has specific mechanisms to make processing of Bear requirements and electives easier.
  • Unit and Den/Patrol Clendars... Simple and convenient calendar administration makes communicating time and location for meetings and events easy. Single and recurring events may be created. Optional e-mail messages may be sent to members in advance as a reminder for upcoming events.
  • Public or Private Calendar... Want your calendar visible on your unit website for perspective members to see? You can have your calendar visible without requiring a login. Calendar contain private information, or simply don't want your schedule on the internet? You can easily protect it so it's available only to registered users of your unit.
  • Advanced Event Management...Track planned attendance, knowing who is planning on attending an event, who is not, and who may come. Track permission slips to let leaders and parents know who has yet to turn in permission slips. Track Tour Permits, vehicle insurance, more! Linked tightly with calendar administration making advanced event management easy.
  • Leader Blogs... Great communications tool! Create generic unit blogs for communicating with parents general unit information. Or create many specialized blogs to communicate specialized topics (Blue & Gold Planning, Pinewood Derby Planning, Camping Trip Planning, Fund Raiser Coordination). Permissions model allows selecting specific user(s) who can create entries, and who can read the blogs (entire unit, individual dens/patrols, or just leaders).
  • Fees, Dues, Reimbursements... track which members owe dues (such as registration dues), and track fee payment for individual events (such as admission to a Baseball game). Fees may be optional or required. Handle full or partial payments. Parents may enter and track their own reimbursement requests. Unit treasurer has complete control over processing requests and payments.
  • Scout Accounts... Create individual bank accounts for each scout and/or leader in your unit, allowing you to track fundraising results and payment history for each individual scout.
  • File Space... Each ScoutManage account comes with disk space allowing you to upload files and pictures to share with your unit, attach to calendar entries, or put pictures on scout home pages.
  • Track Attendance, Community Service, Camping Nights/Hiking Miles, Fund Raiser tracking, and other activities...generalized activity tracker can be customized to meet your individual needs. Generate reports showing individual scout or den/patrol participation in any number of activities.
  • Multi-user access...Parents and leaders can all access and update information at the same time! Individual user logins can be created for each unit member, leaders and parents alike. Give a single login for an entire family with multiple scouts and leaders in the family. Give access to only the individuals you want, and only the permissions you want!
  • 3-Tier Permissions Model...Advanced 3-tier permissions allow different permissions for parents, den/patrol leaders, and pack/troop leaders. Allow den and patrol leaders to have control over members in their den/patrol. Parents may be restricted to read/only access so they can view their son's accomplishments without changing anything, but still have access to update contact and other general information.
  • OpenId Single Sign-on Support... Support for the industry standard OpenId single sign-on allows you to create a single user account and share it with many websites on the internet, including ScoutManage. Use your AOL screen name or your WordPress username to login to ScoutManage.
  • Secure Hardware-based Login... Using OpenId and VeriSign's Personal Identity service, you can make use of 3rd party hardware tokens, such as the keychain device used by PayPal, to make your ScoutManage account more secure and reduce your risk of identity theft.
  • Specialized role-based permissions... allowing advancement coordinators, treasurers, event managers, others to have specific permissions they need.
  • Rosters and lists... Generate roster, training, and BSA advancement reports quickly and easily. Easily manage e-mail lists ad the Pack/Troop level, Den/Patrol level, or leader-only level.
  • Reports, reports, reports...Over 40 reports available. Specialized permissions role to allow/deny access to reports. Both Pack/Troop level and Den/Patrol level reports.
